Attendance Procedures
We believe that excellent attendance is very closely linked to achieving excellent outcomes. We work closely with the Education Welfare service to support families who need help in ensuring regular attendance.
If your child is late or absent for any reason, please ensure to contact the School office on 01792 872439 where you will be prompted to leave a message.

This will be recorded in the register as an authorised absence. If your child is absent due to ill health, we ask that you contact the school on the first day of illness. We work closely with the school’s Education Welfare Officer Lyndsay Jones, who is employed by the Local Authority to act as liaison between parents and school and monitor pupil attendance rates. Holiday Forms – Parents are asked to complete a ‘Term Time Absence Request Form’ if your child is going to be absent during the school term. This is reviewed by the Headteacher, who following policy will authorise /unauthorise this request.
5 Minutes late each day amounts to 25 minutes late each week which
amounts to 16 hours 15 minutes education missed during a school year.
