At Gowerton Primary School, we want every child to feel safe and happy. We learn lots of exciting things together in a friendly and caring way. Here, everyone belongs and has fun while learning. We help each other grow and do our best, so we can all reach our full potential and help our school and community!

Grow - At our school, we help everyone grow by being curious, never giving up, and aiming high. Together, we can all be the best we can be!

Achieve - Together, we help everyone shine by celebrating and growing all the different talents of every child in a supportive, safe and encouraging school.

School Values

School Values are the overarching principles that provide a moral compass for our school community. They are our core beliefs that demonstrate what Gowerton Primary is when it is at its best!

Respect - It’s important to show respect in everything we do, as it helps create a friendly, caring, and fair school for everyone.

Honesty – Being honest helps everyone in our school. It builds trust, teamwork, and fairness, making our school community a great place for all!

Kindness - In our school, we share kindness to help everyone feel respected and supported. This makes our school a happy place where we can all feel good about ourselves!

Positivity - At our school, we believe in a ‘can do’ attitude! We celebrate positivity, teamwork, and enthusiasm to help everyone learn and grow together!

Inclusivity - At our school, we celebrate everyone's uniqueness! We support each other and help every friend grow, because our differences make us stronger!

Resilience – Building resilience is very important; it helps us to keep going when things become difficult and is a mind-set that we need to reach our goals in life.

School Aims

Our aims for education at Gowerton Primary School are based on 4 purposes which we want all of our stakeholders to develop during their time with us.

All our children will be supported to develop as:

Ambitious, capable learners ready to learn throughout their lives who:

• Aim high and enjoy challenges because they help us grow and learn.
• Build up our knowledge like superheroes collecting powers, and use our skills to connect ideas in fun ways.
• Ask lots of questions and love solving puzzles – it’s like being detectives!
• Share our thoughts clearly in different ways, using both Welsh and English – it’s like having double the fun!
• Explain the amazing things we’re learning about to our friends and family.
• Use numbers easily inside and outside school, like counting or measuring ingredients.
• Understand how to use data and maths, not just in maths lessons but in lots of other subjects as well.
• Get clever with technology to share, discover, and look at information creatively.
• Explore and check what we find, knowing we can keep learning new things for our whole lives!

Enterprising, creative contributors, ready to play a full part in life and work who:

• Use what you know to make exciting things and have great ideas!
• Think outside the box when you have a problem. How can you solve it in a new way?
