Nursery - Caterpillars
Croeso i’r Meithrin!
Nursery Team
Nursery experience is often a child’s first venture alone into a larger world outside the family and home. We believe that what children learn in Nursery can create lasting foundations on which to build on during their lives. A high quality nursery education is about much more than numbers, letters, colours and shapes. It’s about learning to be independent, confident, strong and curious. It’s about developing children’s natural joy and wonder at the world they live in.
We believe children learn by exploring and investigating, watching and listening, talking and discussing, creating and communicating, and simply ‘having a go!’
Shwmae Caterpillars ffrindiau! We hope you have had a lovely Christmas and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Spring Term has arrived and we will be exploring the magical world of Winter, Arctic Animals and celebrating Chinese New Year. As always, we will be nurturing children’s natural curiosity and desire to learn, through their wonderful ideas to plan lots of engaging and exciting activities. Come and join us on our Learning Journey!
Cynefin: Cynefin is a Welsh word that cannot be directly translated into English but means a place of multiple belongings. To ensure our pupils develop Cynefin, we will be celebrating the great Welsh outdoors, what is above us? What is below us? What is around us?The seasons are changing and the Welsh Winter is on its way! How can we help the wildlife in the cold winter months?
Please remember that we want to continue making this year a happy and enjoyable time for your child. Please don’t hesitate in speaking with us at the gate, contacting us over the phone or send a message via Seesaw.
