Tregwyr's Treasure Pupil Savings Account

Our pupil bankers have designed information posters and have displayed them around our school and have been visiting classes this week to explain to the children what 'Tregwyr's Treasure' is and how it will work. We would love to instil the importance of saving money for pupils in our school. An important life skill and great learning opportunity to learn and understand how to look after your money. For your child to open their Junior Account they will initially need to bring in £1.00 to open their savings account, they can also bring in additional money on the same launch day. Children can then save as much or as little as they want each week, it is not a requirement that the children have to save money every week. If you are interested in your child opening a savings account, please complete the application form (available from Mrs Dowsett or from the school office) and send your child's money (a minimum of £1.00 for the first week to open the account) in a clearly labelled envelope/purse with your child's name, class and amount of money enclosed.

Savings can be withdrawn at the end of each term. Our pupil bankers are very much looking forward to opening and running our school bank savings account for Gowerton Primary School pupils.

Thank you to Mr Mably our Chair of Governors and Councillor Sue for officially launching our pupil's savings account - Tregwyr’s Treasure. 

Our school bankers did a great job talking to our visitors about the roles and responsibilities they carry out each week for our school. 

I’m sure you would agree they look very smart in their new banking uniform, with the logo they helped to design.

Thank you and well done to all of the children who have set up their own savings account, helping to promote an important skill for the future.  

We are delighted to have now expanded our services and have now set up a savings account for staff members wishing to save.

Meet our new team of school bankers for our Tregwyr's Treasure savings account.
