Gowerton Primary School is a welcoming, vibrant school, where children come first.  A school of happy children, who are curious and motivated to learn new knowledge and skills and thrive on the challenge provided by a broad, balanced and inclusive curriculum.

Our children feel empowered by the safe and stimulating learning environment created and develop the prerequisite skills to work collaboratively with all stakeholders, engendering a sense of ownership and belonging to a school that respects and listens to their voice.

It is our aim that children and the whole school community work together to develop the children's skills in order for them to become enthusiastic lifelong learners who embody the four purposes outlined in the Curriculum for Wales. All children at Gowerton will be given opportunities to become:

• ambitious and capable learners

• health, confident individuals

• enterprising, creative contributors 

• ethical, informed citizens 

To facilitate this, we have a highly motivated, resourceful and committed team of staff and governors who care about and nurture the needs of every child. Staff strive to create a sense of excitement in every child from the moment they arrive in school. An excitement that is derived from a love of learning that has been skilfully crafted by creative, dedicated and knowledgeable staff. 

Within our school site we are fortunate to have access to the Elba playing fields, an enclosed AstroTurf pitch, large playground and plenty of green areas in and around the school.
